The Jill Bridger School of Dance runs classes in ballet, tap and modern dance, for children aged 18 months upwards in St Ives, Cambridge and Cambourne.  Renowned for its pre-school Melody Bear classes, young children are introduced to the world of ballet and dance with the creative, imaginative and educational Melody Movement curriculum.  Learning is fun with Melody Bear! Activities for the older students at the school include RAD ballet exams and ISTD modern and tap exams together with plenty of opportunities for students of all ages to progress and perform.  The school celebrates its 30-year anniversary this year and whilst looking back fondly at all the happy memories of past events, Jill and her teaching team are looking forward to many more years of sharing their love of dance.  The school wish the Papworth Everard Fete 2018 all the very best for a successful day.

I started the Sentinels 29 years ago when I moved from Felixstowe, we have 14 girls ate the moment ages range from 5years to 22 years old. In the summer we do Carnivals and Fete’s .Over the rest of the time the girls train for National Competition held at Rye.

Cottenham Brass Juniors was started in May 2014 with the aim of providing an opportunity for children in Cottenham area to learn a brass instrument and ensure a progression of players into adult brass bands in the Cambridge area. The first rehearsal was attended by 6 beginners and now we regularly have over 35 members aged from 7 to 16. The band perform at summer fetes, village festivals and carol concerts. Cottenham Brass Juniors continue to go from strength to strength as the band takes on an increasingly challenging repertoire. Hot Steps Dance Academy runs classes at The Studio on a Friday afternoon/evening for children aged 2.5 to 18 years of age. We offer a range of dance styles including Disco Freestyle, Street, Rock n Roll, Ballroom, Latin American and Old Time Sequence.

The children dancing at the fete will be performing their examination routines.
